Getting Subscribers To Buy Twice As Much
You really have to hand it to list builders. Not only is collecting e-mail addresses a daunting task, but getting subscribers to purchase from you is a tough job. Marketers spend hours and hours building huge lists of subscribers from all over the net, then spend countless hours crafting their e-mail promotions, then spend even more time sending out those promotions to their hungry list of potential customers. But the problem is, most list marketers spend all of their time on these tasks and don’t realize that their lists are worthless. Most lists will never generate any income, or at least not enough to justify your time commitment.
So, What’s The Problem?
The problem is where list marketers are getting their subscribers. Of course, the quality of your e-mail promotions and the products that you are selling are very important, but if your list is not interested in buying what you want them to, then you might as well give up now. To ensure that your list will be interested when it comes time to send out that first e-mail promotion, take a look at where you gathered your list.
Too many list builders go absolutely crazy when they try to build a list; they think that any e-mail address that they can get their hands on is a prospective sale. The odds of landing a sale from any random e-mail address are smaller than the chances of Bill Clinton being elected to a third term: possible, but very close to zero.
Stop to think of your list building resources. A resource that promises thousands of e-mail addresses might look nice, but how much time are your going to spend writing up an e-mail promo and sending it out to those un-targeted e-mail addresses, then waiting for responses which will never come. Well, I guess that you could wait forever if you felt like it. And let’s not forget that most resources that offer e-mail addresses often cost money. That’s cash down the drain as far as smart list builders like you and I are concerned.
So Where Do You SUggest Getting Subscribers From?
Well, that’s the one-hundred thousand-million dollar question, isn’t it? And I’m going to answer it for you right now! Go to the source! Go to where your customers are. The internet is full of places to find customers. Use resources that attract the type of person that will be interested in what you plan on selling! If you are interested in building a list to sell e-books to, go to an e-book website and ask if you can buy some advertising. Or better yet, trade some advertising! If you want to sell discount video games to your list, go build a list through Facebook or MySpace! If you want to build a list full of people looking for a deal, build a list through Ebay, I know that there are tons of articles explaining how to do that!
Hopefully, you’ve come to understand that list marketing doesn’t have to be a shot in the dark. Getting subscribers that will actually buy what you have to sell is possible. When you build a targeted list, your chances of making a nice profit will double and double again!
